Welcoming Geoff Lee

Comments (0) News

We’re pleased to welcome Geoff Lee, who joined White Industries at the beginning of June as our new Business Development Manager.

Geoff began his career in 1996 in the engineering design office at Bradken Newcastle, before moving into roles across sales and marketing. He has a strong passion for the precision and control required at every stage of the metal casting process.

Over the years, Geoff has held positions with major mining OEMs including Sandvik, Normet, Caterpillar and Bekaert Ropes. These roles saw him spending significant time on coal and gold mine sites, monitoring product performance, supporting large-scale supply contracts, and delivering customer-focused solutions.

Geoff met his wife while completing an MBA in Newcastle. The couple lived in Sweden for two snowy winters before returning home and now raise their two sons—aged 12 and 14—in Newcastle. Outside of work, Geoff enjoys weekends filled with basketball, mountain biking, and skiing during the winter months.

In his role as BDM, Geoff will focus on growing our footprint with mining OEMs—particularly across the pump and mining equipment sectors—by promoting our Australian-made, high-performance castings, supported by responsive local service. He’ll also explore opportunities within the Australian defence supply chain, working through the required accreditations and compliance pathways.

Geoff says joining White Industries has been a fantastic opportunity to be part of a passionate, well-established team and to contribute to the continued growth of our Australian-made, high-quality castings.
