White Industries continues its valued support of the School Formula programs, assisting with the transport of cars from Dalby State High School to Lakeside Raceway.
Dalby State High teacher Stuart Borrows said, “The students are always excited to see their projects make it to the track.”

A teacher from Nudgee added that it was “the biggest sporting power flex I’ve ever seen from a school.”
This milestone represents a major achievement for the program, one that wouldn’t be possible without dedicated partners like White Industries.

The program has now expanded across three school pathways: Trade Futures, Innovate Ag, and Online Engineering, which runs over the two senior years.
It provides trade students with hands-on, real-world experience not only in engineering, fabrication, automotive systems, and teamwork, but also through Manufacturing and Automotive certificate courses.

Within these courses, the Formula project is treated as a customer, giving students the chance to design and refine manufacturing systems that produce the best chassis and components. Students also work on driveline and control system installations.

Looking ahead, the program is set to expand further into the supply of rebuilt and serviced engines and gearboxes for next year’s cars.

This year, four cars took to the grid, each produced across the program’s divisions. It was a fantastic team-building and problem-solving experience, followed by detailed analysis to drive improvement for next year’s event.

The team was recognised with the Best Presented Cars award, thanks to the combined expertise and support of White Industries, Winters Smash Repairs, J & J Vinyl Wraps, and Simplicity Coatings.

White Industries looks forward to the continued support of the annual Formula Event, which challenges students in the manufacturing and engineering disciplines and provides valuable experience for their future careers.
