‘Formula Student’ is a program open to pupils in Years 11 & 12, which tasks them with building a racecar from scratch.
Students at Dalby State High School have been busy tinkering away since February, in an effort to create the fastest race-winning machine to pitch against entries from 11 other schools. The program culminated in a race day to prove whose car was king of the racetrack.
This is the first year for the program, and by participating, students receive a Certificate II in Engineering Pathways. White Industries provided assistance as a supporter of the Trade Futures Program to help make ‘Formula Student’ possible.
